DALLAS-FORT WORTH — Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) has reached a key milestone in its airfield sustainability program, with 65% of airside ground support equipment (GSE) now converted to zero-emission electric powertrains.

The transition is underpinned by the installation of 280 high-capacity charging stations across Terminals A, C, and D. The electrification project, executed in partnership with American Airlines and ground handlers Swissport and Menzies, cuts ramp carbon emissions by 42,000 metric tons annually.

DFW remains on course to attain net-zero carbon operations across all airfield scopes ahead of its statutory 2030 target.
