NEW YORK — The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) and The New Terminal One (NTO) consortium have confirmed that construction on the 2.4-million-square-foot terminal complex at John F. Kennedy International Airport has surpassed 65% completion.

The project represents the largest single private investment in North American airport infrastructure. Phase 1, scheduled for commissioning in 2026, will introduce 14 wide-body international departure gates, a 30-lane centralized security hall equipped with computed tomography scanners, and a dynamic baggage sorting facility.

Over 11,000 tons of structural steel have been erected, with exterior curtain wall glazing and baggage subterranean conveyor installation advancing on schedule.
