AMSTERDAM — Royal Schiphol Group has commissioned eight additional high-throughput automated security lanes across Departure Halls 1 and 2 to absorb projected peak summer travel demand.

The Dutch hub now operates 46 full-scale CT screening lanes equipped with automated diverter logic and dual-view threat detection software. The investment follows comprehensive operational audits that identified security checkpoint dwell time as a primary contributor to terminal concourse congestion.

Schiphol operations director Sybren Hahn confirmed that peak queue duration has declined to under seven minutes for 94% of outbound PAX.
