DOHA, Qatar — Hamad International Airport (DOH) has introduced a commercial fleet of autonomous electric indoor mobility shuttles to transport passengers across Concourse C.
The self-driving pods utilize ceiling-mapped 3D LiDAR and stereo cameras to navigate dynamic terminal crowds at speeds up to 8 km/h. Passengers summon the shuttles via multilingual touchscreens or mobile digital boarding pass scans, providing on-demand transit for connecting PAX navigating long transfer walks.
The initiative forms part of DOH's universal accessibility modernization program.
